PERMANENT MGM CHAIR OF PROFESSORSHIP IN THE DEPARTMENT OF MINERALS, METALLURGICAL AND MINERAL ENGINEERING AT IIT, BHUBANESWAR.

A revised MoU was signed on 24th January 2011 by Professor M. Chakraborty, Director of IIT Bhubaneswar and Shri R. L. Mohanty, Chairman of MGM Group in the presence of Shri Priyabrata Patnaik (CMD, IDCO), Shri P. K. Mishra (MD, Paradeep-Haridaspur Rail Development Company Limited) and Shri Vishal Dev (Commissioner, BMC). Faculty members of IIT were present and hailed the novel public private partnership (PPP) for promoting industry-led technical education and research which is amongst the first of its kind in Odisha. The said endowment by MGM Group is amongst the largest ever in India for a Chair Professorship.
