The MGM Group founded by Late M G Mohanty started with ownership and development of its mines in the 1940's. Over the years MGM have been developing and operating their own Iron & Manganese Mines in the mineral rich district of Sundergarh in the state of Orissa.The Company has signed a MoU with Government of Orissa in the year 2006 for establishment of an integrated steel plant in Dhenkanal district having a capacity of 0.25 million tonnes per annum. The plant will go into commercial production by the last quarter of 2011.
The company is also applied for acquiring & developing sustainable mining ventures of different minerals in the state of Orissa.
In keeping with its commitments to an eco-friendly and responsible investment , MGM Group has also made a foray into projects in the domains of hi-tech horticulture, agri-processing and renewable energy generation in different districts of the State.
